(ii) An apprentice who
has passed the prescribed annual technical college examinations for the
preceding year shall be paid an additional weekly allowance of $1.30. Payment
of this allowance is subject to a satisfactory report as to conduct, punctuality and workshop progress by his/her supervisor.
Such additional allowance shall be payable from the beginning of the first pay
period commencing in January following the examinations.
(iii) An apprentice
who, in any year fails to complete a subject or subjects but completes them
concurrently with passing the succeeding year’s examinations, shall be deemed
to qualify for payment of the allowance specified in this subclause for the
succeeding year as if he had not initially failed to complete the subject or
subjects.
(iv) All wages shall
be paid on a weekly basis: It shall be an implied term of any contract of
apprenticeship that the employing Authority may deduct from the weekly wage of
an apprentice an amount proportionate to the time lost
by an apprentice for any reason not considered satisfactory to the employing
Authority.
(v) Apprentice
patternmakers shall be paid the sum of $1.30 per week in addition to the wage
rates prescribed for apprentices in subclause (i).
