LOCAL GOVERNMENT CIVIL LIABILITY ALLOWANCE INDUSTRIAL COMMITTEE

 

INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS COMMISSION OF NEW SOUTH WALES

 

Application by The Local Government Engineers' Association of New South Wales, industrial organisation of employees.

ORDER

 

The Commission orders that:

 

1.        The establishment of an Industrial Committee to be known as the Local Government Civil Liability Allowance Industrial Committee (the ‘Industrial Committee’).

 

2.        The Industrial Committee will operate in relation to engineering professionals working in NSW local government who are employed pursuant to the Local Government (State) Award 2020 and its successors.

 

3.        The Industrial Committee will consist of the following:

 

a.        a member of the Commission allocated by the Chief Commissioner who will Chair the Industrial Committee, and

 

b.        one (1) representative of employers, and

 

c.        one (1) representative of employees.

 

4.        The employers’ representative will be appointed by the Industrial Registrar following a nomination by Local Government NSW.

 

5.        Local Government NSW will also nominate an alternate member who may be required to sit as a representative of employers.

 

6.        The representative of employees will be appointed by the Industrial Registrar following a nomination by the Local Government Engineers’ Association of New South Wales.

 

7.        The New South Wales Local Government, Clerical, Administrative, Energy, Airlines & Utilities Union shall nominate an alternate member who may be required to sit as a representative of employees.

 

8.        This Order takes effect from 18 January 2023 for a period of three (3) years.
